We have stayed at The Vira Bali in Tuban twice. The hotel is situated in Tuban which is a very good location. Within a walking distance to the beach and 10 minutes from Kuta. The airport is a short taxi ride. The Vira is in our opinion one of the best in Bali . Although it is smaller then some, it has everything to offer. The hotel has an excellent pool with garden settings, with lounges and tables. The ground floor rooms lead out onto the garden terraces. So you can walk from your room straight into the pool. For those with children it would be excellent to have one of these down stairs rooms, as you can watch the children, while you relax from your room. Pool service is excellent with plenty of staff to see to you.
One can not praise too highly the staff at The Vira. We have stayed at many hotels in the past 26 years and the people here are sincere and helpful. They all laugh with each other like friends which is not always the case in some hotels, you feel like you want to take them home with you.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, with big king beds in the Double bed rooms, they have tea/coffee making facilities, with bar fridge, so you can always make an extra cup if needed. Every day they give you two bottles of water, an extra not to be found in many hotels. The room are kept spotlessly clean with fresh linen everyday. The air conditioner are excellent, and actually works, int eh past we have had some not so good ones in other hotels. The TV has satellite TV, so you have about 35 choices, they also hire DVD'S so you can watch all those cheap DVD you are sure to buy while in Bali . There are a personal safe in the room, so can lock up your valuable which you pin in your own code.
The hotel restaurant very good. With a reasonable selection, prices are good and in same cases cheaper then other hotels in Bali . Having stayed in some where you always went outside to eat because they were expensive. The waiters are very helpful and will change what is on the menu to suit the individual. For instance ginger tea was not on the menu but we got it whenever we asked for it, also my husband can not eat cheese or garlic so they always cooked it without. The breakfast menu is excellent giving a good range for every taste.
For those thinking of coming to Bali , try the Vira it is without doubt one of the most charming value for money hotels you will ever find. Thank you,
